With a strong commitment to preserving, promoting, and celebrating Nepalese art and culture, NCCS was proud to take part in the Mega Blast Festival held on September 5 and 6.

Alongside showcasing our rich heritage, we used this opportunity to organize a community relief fundraising drive in support of families in Nepal affected by the recent severe flooding and landslides. We are deeply humbled by the response from our community — over 200 attendees stopped by our booth to scan and send donations directly to the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund in Nepal.

For community members who preferred not to donate online by credit or debit card, we also set up a secure on-site donation box and accepted Interac e-Transfers. Thanks to your collective generosity, our booth collected:

• $660 CAD in the on-site donation box
• $800 CAD via Interac e-Transfer
• Total Collected: $1,460 CAD

We are proud to share that 100% of these collected funds ($1,460 CAD) were transferred on September 8 directly from the official NCCS bank account to the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund account at Himalayan Bank in Nepal, with the wire transfer confirmed for value on September 10. In keeping with our commitment to transparency, NCCS retains the official Royal Bank of Canada wire transfer confirmation for this transaction on file and available to the community upon request.
