NCCS–NBDA Blood Donation Campaign Collects 21 Donations

Toronto, September 26, 2026

Nepalese Canadian Community Services (NCCS), in partnership with the Nepalese Blood Donors Association (NBDA) Canada, organized a blood donation campaign on Saturday at the Canadian Blood Services Scarborough Donor Centre. A total of 21 volunteer donors donated blood during the campaign.

The campaign was organized to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation and encourage regular participation in blood donation within the community. Members of the Nepalese community from different age groups participated in the campaign and contributed to this important humanitarian cause.

As part of its ongoing commitment to social responsibility and community service, NCCS organizes two blood donation campaigns each year. Previous campaigns have also received strong participation from the Nepalese community. This latest campaign continued that spirit of volunteerism, service, and community collaboration.

Following the campaign, NCCS President Sudarshan Sapkota thanked all the donors for their valuable contribution and emphasized the importance of making blood donation a regular part of community service.

“Blood donation requires only a small amount of our time, but that small contribution can play a significant role in saving the lives of patients who need blood. My sincere thanks to all 21 donors who donated blood today.”

NBDA Canada General Secretary Deepen Rahut Chhetri expressed his appreciation to all donors, volunteers, and everyone who contributed to the success of the campaign. He particularly encouraged young people who are interested in donating blood for the first time to participate in future campaigns.

NCCS and NBDA Canada said they will continue organizing regular blood donation campaigns in the future with the continued participation and support of the Nepalese community.
