Gyanu Shah is from Jajarkot, Nepal, and has been living in Canada since 2012. As someone who has journeyed from rural Nepal to Canada and established herself through hard work and perseverance, she serves as an inspiring role model to many women.
As an educator, T.R. Paudyal is deeply committed to enlightening young minds through knowledge and inspiring a lifelong love of learning. Bina Berma has dedicated over 25 years to community service and is the immediate past president of Nepalese Canadian Community Services (NCCS). Her visionary leadership and unwavering dedication continue to inspire and unite the community.
As a respected leader of NCCS, Bina has significantly advanced the organization’s mission to empower Nepalese immigrants in Canada. Under her guidance, NCCS expanded its programs in mentoring, professional networking, health awareness, and cultural activities, cultivating a strong sense of identity and inclusion within the Nepalese-Canadian community. Her efforts have strengthened partnerships reinforcing NCCS’s vision of unity, service, and cultural pride.
Dr. Adhikari immigrated to Canada with his family in 2011. After arriving, he completed both his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Chemistry at Queen’s University, Kingston. He further pursued a one-year postdoctoral fellowship at McGill University in Montreal, followed by a three-year postdoctoral position at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Adhikari has been actively involved in teaching and research at Pharmamedical College, the University of Toronto, and several tutoring centers. He is also the co-founder of Everest Learning Center in Scarborough. Recently, he obtained an Instructor Licence from the Canadian Red Cross to teach First Aid and CPR courses and teaches these at VO2 Health Focus during weekends and evenings as a side venture. Beyond his academic and professional achievements, Dr. Adhikari has served two consecutive terms as Chairman of Nepalese Canadian Community Services (NCCS) from 2021 to 2025 and currently serves as an advisor on its board, contributing significantly to community leadership and development.
