 Dear Members,
Namaste!
I am honored to be elected as your President and look forward to working with you on issues important to our community. The Nepalese community continues to grow and we are gaining greater visibility through events such as Himalayan Festival and Domestic Violence workshop last summer. We are continuing to make new excellent contacts for our community in the city, such as when we were able to arrange for Toronto Mayor David Miller to speak at our festival as well as Dr. Daniel Andreae, Mr. Steve Owens and Ms. Andalee Adamali at our workshop.
We have started to see results from our Nepalese language class and now, we do not have to send our kids to Nepal to learn our mother tongue. We are thankful to Sama Bhauju whose tireless effort to educate our kids is paying off.
It is important for us to engage in social activities such as Picnic and Dashain party where

Namaste. Welcome to NCCS! The Nepalese Community based in Greater Toronto Area in Ontario, Canada. NCCS was established in 2000 to bring together the interests of Nepalese living in Canada. Since then NCCS has become a milestone Nepalese community to promote Nepalese culture and voice to the Canadian main stream. NCCS strives to bring the best among us and has been participating in many community projects under CASSA.
