Dashain is the 15-day national (religious) festival of Nepal. It is the longest and the most auspicious festival in the Nepalese annual calendar, celebrated by Nepalese of all caste and creed throughout the globe. Because this is such a sacred festival for all of us as Nepalese, we here at the NCCS would like to cordially invite you to join us and celebrate the festivities this year on Saturday, October 1st 2011 at 6pm. Dashain is a time of gathering with all family and friends, so join us as we join together as a community and celebrate!!!
Live music, dance, a cultural program alongside a succulent buffet dinner will guarantee that you will have the time of your life. As well, the night will also be broadcast live on www.torontonepal.com. It will be a night and a Dashain that you will never forget so mark your calendars from now and make sure to get your tickets ASAP!

On Behalf of Nepalese Canadian Community Services (NCCS), I would like to thank everyone coming together to celebrate Himalayan Festival: Nepali Mela 2011. Despite heavy rain at the beginning of the Mela, we had great turnout this year. Heavy rain did not stop our continue performance with music, dance and song.
I like to thank all the performers for their wonderful performances and sharing their talents with the community. I also want to thank Mr. Jyoti Bhidya for coordinating with Bhutanese Nepalese performers who came all the way from London Ontario for the event. Especial thanks to MC Ram kaji Moktan and Mary Gold in warming up the audience and for keeping it lively and fun.
