Nepalese Canadian Community Services (NCCS) organizes Himalayan Mela annually at Nathan Philip Square in 3rd Sunday of August. NCCS forms several committees and appoints a coordinator so that Himalayan Mela could be celebrated as a greatest national festival of Nepalis living across Canada.
The grand festival features Nepalese arts and crafts, traditional costumes, taste of Nepalese food, music and dance, Information about Nepalese Word heritage sites, presence of various organizations, live performances by famous Nepalese artists from the GTA and beyond etc. On the top of all these, it also lends a unique pitch in an open space for expanding intercultural, professional and business networking among people of different walks of life as well.
The gigantic one day event is supported by various Governmental as well as Non-Governmental agencies, communities from the GTA and beyond, media partners, business communities, student groups, Women group, youth group, sports group, and Nepalese and Non-Nepalese communities of Canada, USA and Nepal.
